VNISH is aftermarket firmware for Bitmain Antminer ASIC miners. Its published features include autotune, per-board tuning, power controls and fleet management. Gains depend on hardware, cooling, power and settings; compare a controlled test with your own stock baseline. Recovery and a return to stock depend on the exact model, control board, installed firmware and supported method. Check the documented recovery path for that configuration before installation.
VNISH firmware is available to download and install without an upfront licence payment. While the firmware runs, a development fee uses a share of active hashrate. Check the applicable fee and its terms for the exact release before installation. Evaluate net performance on your own device, including electricity and the development fee.
The word "verified" on this network means checkable, not merely promised. Every build is published with its SHA-256 checksum in the open firmware catalog. VNISH GLOBAL publishes the catalog and product documentation. The current catalog contains 47 model identifiers and 75 records for release 1.3.5. In the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance survey reflecting 30 June 2024, VNISH represented 26.4% of the hashrate-weighted responses to the firmware-provider question (Figure 23(b), 31 respondents). This survey result does not measure the share of all devices worldwide. The company source of record documents public operating roles, repositories, preserved records and correction routes.
