VNISH pool settings: URL, worker and failover

Short answer

URL tells the miner where to connect. Worker identifies the mining work in the pool's required format. Password follows that pool's worker rules. Copying the server address alone does not complete the configuration.

Comparison at a glance
FieldWhat to enter
URLThe endpoint for the selected coin, with the protocol and port supplied by your pool.
WorkerThe complete identifier required by that pool. Do not leave an example account name in place.
PasswordThe value required by the pool's mining instructions. Do not paste your web account login password here.

Is worker the same as my wallet address?

Not necessarily. For example, ViaBTC's BTC instructions use userID.workerID. The account name comes before the dot and the worker label after it. This is a ViaBTC example, not a universal format for other pools. Follow the current instructions of the pool you actually use.

Do three pool entries mine simultaneously?

In the Mining interface documented by HashCore, the list is ordered: the miner uses Pool #1 and moves to the next entry if it is unavailable. The list supports up to three entries. This is failover, not three parallel allocations of your hashrate. Check the controls available in your own firmware build.

The worker is missing from the pool account. What should I compare?

Compare the coin endpoint, port and complete worker value with your pool's current setup guide. Then check which account and worker you are viewing. A local hashrate number alone does not establish pool acceptance; the mining stack guide explains that distinction.
