How to install firmware

- Save pool and network settings, ensure stable power and cooling, and agree a recovery procedure for this exact board
- Select just one miner. Keep passwords in your local Toolkit, never send them to a website or chat
Stock dated August 2026 or later is outside this standard installation route. Stop and contact support with the exact model, board and stock version. Do not upgrade or downgrade stock at random
Identify the current firmware and its date first. If you cannot confirm them, contact support before flashing
Get HashCore Toolkit 1.7.4
Toolkit is the installation tool, not the firmware. Download firmware only from this site's catalog. Run Toolkit on a device on the same trusted local network as the miner
Fill in the firmware fields
For example: …v1.3.6.tar.gz → 1.3.6; …v1.3.5.tar.gz → 1.3.5; …v1.3.4.tar.gz → 1.3.4. Firmware name remains vnish
Create a folder, for example C:\VNISH on Windows, and put the downloaded .tar.gz inside it without unpacking or renaming it. Select the folder, not the archive. An empty-looking folder picker is normal: it shows folders, not files
How to install firmware
- BITMAIN stock firmware
- Install firmware
- VNISH already installed
- Update firmware
- Open Toolkit, create New group, add your miner's IP or local range in Ranges and scan. Select the one confirmed miner
- Open Commands / All Commands and choose Install firmware / Update firmware. Do not upload our archive through the BITMAIN stock web updater
- Select the folder containing your archive. Enter vnish in Firmware name. In Firmware version, enter the version from that file name without v. Check the model before confirming.
- Confirm the operation locally and follow Operations until completion. Do not cut power or start another operation while writing
- Open the miner's web interface, check the installed version and your pools. Watch temperatures, hashrate and errors until stable before expanding to other miners
On supported CVITEK / CV builds of VNISH 1.3.6, the firmware starts automatically after a restart.
Earlier versions: CVITEK / CV: after a restart, the firmware may need to be launched again using Toolkit → Restore firmware. This is not factory-stock recovery

Check your first miner
Before installation, save your pool and network settings and note the current hashrate and power use. After installation, check the firmware version, pool connection, accepted shares, temperatures, fans and hardware errors. Compare stable readings under the same conditions. If anything is abnormal, stop the test and check the cause before adding other miners.
Contact our support
SSH / authentication error: stop, check local network access and the miner password configured in Toolkit. Keep the exact error log for support. An SSH error alone is not a reason to install newer stock
SD/USB recovery is a separate board-specific procedure. On AML with stock from September 2025 or later, USB unlocking may be needed for that recovery route, not as a blanket prerequisite for Toolkit installation
Third-party firmware can affect the manufacturer's warranty. Do not bypass security warnings, interrupt writing or use a file for a similar model
